Lord John and the Private Matter (Lord John Grey, #1)

by Diana Gabaldon

Airplane read the other weekend, absolutely hoovered it up. I only know enough queer history to be on high alert anytime someone tries to write historical gayness, but I don't know enough to say that she got anything wrong - this seems heavily grounded in historical research, so it's probably a dinosaurs-without-feathers thing at worst.

I'm still not ever planning to read or watch Outlander, but I was delighted to see that this is a series! Desperate to find out WTF happened at the Hellfire Club, just like whatshisface.

(I cannot think about Outlander at all ever without sharing my favorite fact, that it's Second!Doctor companion fanfic with the serial numbers filed off; we all know that right? That Jamie Fraser = Jamie McCrimmon the highlander + Frazer Hines the actor who portrayed him? OK, good.)
