Insubstantial but feel-good (in a 1975 way) mystery novel borrowed from Sarah. I had a good time! Sister John would be much more openly butch if I was Gilman's editor. (She named herself Sister John! Like, that is her first and only name!! And her favorite assignment is fixing the printing press!!! OK then!!!!) Sister Hyacinthe also has big dyke energy with the herbs and the going barefoot.
The (fabulous) cover is unfortunately false advertising - neither of the nuns learns to ride a motorcycle. :( It's also not gay, but it's not hard to get there either.
