The villains are both truly villainous and truly lovable?! The twists are delightful and nonstop! I didn't get most of the references to other period lit and I'm still not sure I'll read the original story, but I had so much fun. I suspect the original Prisoner of Zenda would be a letdown after this extremely entertaining version chockablock with gay sex.
