The Great Gatsby
by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Tim Robbins
Maybe I would have gotten more out of this if I'd had to read it in high school and dissect the everliving fuck out of it, but as an adult beholden to no one I'm giving it a resounding MEH. Not even as homoerotic as I was led to hope! I hear that people like this kind of book because of tHe LyRiCaL LaNgUaGe, but the only descriptions I actually enjoyed reading were the parties; FSF knows what he's talking about there. (makes u think, huh???)
Listened as an audiobook, which is always a good decision for literary stuff you're pretty sure you won't be into. 0.9x speed worked well.
The letters at the end from FSF about the book industry were mildly interesting. They also reminded me of the existence of Babbitt, which we were supposed to read in AP Lit, and which is easily the worst and most boring shit I have ever been assigned. Makes sense that FSF thought it was all-time great.
