Lobizona (Wolves of No World, #1)

by Romina Garber, Romina Russell

Parts of this were cliche (gleefully cliche?), but also I stayed up past 2am to finish it. Even with the flaws, it's a new and interesting and different remix of the same tropes from everything else in the vast (vast) YA fantasy genre, with a lot of new, and I have to recommend it for that.

Again with the "there's only one lobizona, OMG!" trope which I am on the record as hating, but it's problematized and I hope it won't last through the entire series.

Really good Spanish practice for me! The way that characters speaking in Spanish was handled should be the model for other YA books. (Spanish vocab not italicized except for once I noticed, which might have been an error, and not always fully translated.)
