Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)
by Leigh Bardugo
Solid all the way through. My main disappointment is that there's two entire straight romances and only the (clearly intentional!) subtext of a gay flirtation.
I loved Inej's arc up to the last couple pages. She's self-actualized so the narrative is now going to hobble her to give the hero the chance to live up to her? Give me a break.
The grisha and Suli both suffer from the usual maladies of being fantasy oppressed groups who real oppressed groups' struggles are imperfectly mapped onto.
