IIRC I liked this but was annoyed at the attempt to tame and downplay Lawrence's sexuality. The man was very, very kinky, and he roleplayed with other men even if he didn't want physical touch (or was afraid of the legal/social/religious consequences of allowing touch? Barnett quotes him claiming both at different points). Label that whatever you want, but it's weird to conclude that he didn't have sexual feelings about other men. The Bad Gays podcast episode about him is a good reference.
