The Brig made me cry more than once, so there's that. <3

The last chunk of the plot was less interesting. I already knew about the big twist with Compassion, I just didn't know how it happened. I don't understand what they're trying to do with Romana, and I don't find it affecting because I don't understand how she could have arrived at her current set of beliefs. Kind of the opposite of the Brig's emotional development, actually---his depression is so different from the way he's usually portrayed, and yet Cornell makes you understand completely who he is and how he came to this point.
