Falling Free (Vorkosigan Saga, #4)

by Lois McMaster Bujold, Suford Lewis, James A. McMaster

Falling Free: Interesting book. Sci-fi engineering pr0n. One of the most intense plot threads weaving through the climax involves fabricating a very large, very precise replacement for a jumpship part out of scrap metal and scrounged tools with extremely clever physics and engineering---IN SPACE! But there's also a lot of stuff about following orders and genocide and social justice. So yeah, awesome sci-fi success! Bujold for the win.

Personal notes: Not sure this totally counts; it was a reread, part of my recent "mainline the entire Vorkosigan saga om nom nom" push. (Which is why I haven't updated GoodReads that much recently---well, between that and the "mainline the entire Harry Potter series om nom nom" thing that Sam and I are doing.) I'm starting Diplomatic Immunity now, and should be on to Cryoburn and Ivan: His Booke soon... new territory, yay!
