Master & Commander (Aubrey & Maturin, #1)

Good, though it took me a little while to get into it. I was constantly referring to the chart of sails in front-- the technical language is a little out of control, although I got enough of a feel for it that the battles toward the middle-end were actually exciting.
The only real complaint I have is that some of the characters felt more like they were put in because "look how much research I did!" coughgayofficercough than because they were important to the story.
